Restoring the Covenant: Catholic Social Teaching as Common Social Ground - Conference May 30th, 2026

This annual Building a Culture of Life & Dignity conference is hosted by Catholic Conscience. This year's goals are to advance civic conversation on restoring the social covenant, bringing together Canadian Catholic social and civic initiatives, and promoting employment, fundraising, and volunteer possibilities for these initiatives.

Guest speakers include a keynote by Most Rev. Mark Hagemoen, Bishop of Saskatoon, Peter Copeland of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, Tucker Sigourney of the Human Flourishing Program, and Moira McQueen, LLB, MDiv, PhD.

Afternoon breakout sessions will be facilitated by experts in the areas of family life, Parish life, education, and the public square.

The conference will conclude with Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence, Thomas Cardinal Collins.

Coffee and lunch will be provided, and there will be supervised activities for children should families wish to attend, hosted by the team at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys FertilityCare. Please let us know at jennifer@fertiliytcare.ca or info@catholicconscience.org if you will be bringing children so we can plan for numbers.

Location: De La Salle Oaklands College, 131 Farnham Ave, Toronto

Time: Registration begins at 8am, Welcome and Keynote to start at 9am.
