We still can’t believe how lucky we are to have our baby boy!  After trying to conceive for almost 4 years, we became pregnant with the assistance of FertilityCare Toronto.I had a history of endometriosis and as a result went through 4 surgeries from the age of 18 to the age of 31.  After the last surgery, my OB said she didn’t know why I wasn’t getting pregnant and that we should just go for in vetro fertilization instead.   She basically washed her hands of us and our situation.  We were so frustrated and couldn’t imagine having to go to yet another doctor’s office for testing.

Our friends had heard about FertilityCare Toronto and gave us the telephone number.  We figured it was worth a try.  After making the initial call and speaking to the warm staff, I started to get excited.  The words ‘underlying issue’ still stand out in my mind.  I knew there had to be a reason we were not conceiving on our own.

We worked with the FertilityCare Toronto doctors and our practitioner for 15 months.  During this time, it was determined I had a blocked fallopian tube as well as low progesterone levels.  After close monitoring, my levels were brought up to a satisfactory level.  I had another surgery shortly therefter to repair the fallopian tube.  After only two effective cycles, we were pregnant!

I was closely monitored through regular blood work the entire pregnancy.  I received progesterone up until my 37th week.  At 38 weeks and 3 days, I delivered our healthy and happy baby boy.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to the centre and the staff for all their assistance.  FertilityCare Toronto treats their patients with the greatest amount of respect and care.  I have never felt so in control of my fertility as I do today.  THANK YOU!
