American Academy of FertilityCare™ Professionals

This is the official national certifying and accrediting body for the Creighton Model System. A network of FertilityCare™ Centers link the American and International centers throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland and other countries.

Biomarkers

The menstrual cycle is comprised of various signs indicative of underlying hormonal fluctuations and organ function. These signs, which are readily observed, act as biological markers that are recorded in a prospective manner. They can be interpreted to identify both normal and abnormal gynecologic and reproductive function.

Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System

It is a system that is completely integrated in its education, research and service orientation. It is specifically designed to assure the highest quality service delivery possible to the FertilityCare™ Educator, Practitioner, Medical Consultant, user couple and individual woman.
It is a standardized and prospective system of collecting data relevant to the events occurring throughout the whole of the menstrual cycle. These events are associated with certain readily identifiable biological markers (biomarkers) which correlate with specific physiological changes that govern the menstrual cycle.

Medical Consultant

A physician who is additionally trained in the Creighton Model System over a six-month period involving two total-immersion Education Phases, a Supervised Practicum and Final Evaluation.

NaProTECHNOLOGY®

Natural Procreative Technology is defined as a women’s health science which devotes its medical, surgical and allied health energies and attention to cooperating with the natural procreative mechanisms and functions. NaProTECHNOLOGY® cooperates with procreative mechanisms in evaluating fertility-related problems and producing a form of treatment that corrects the condition, maintains the human ecology and sustains the procreative potential.
This new science empowers women to take control of their fertility and monitor, evaluate and maintain their gynecologic and reproductive health.

Pope Paul VI Institute

The Institute provides education, research and service to people of all faiths in the area of human reproduction and related women’s health issues. It is locally, nationally and internationally recognized as a leader in research and education in human reproduction. It houses several divisions including the National Reproductive Hormone Laboratory, a Reproductive Ultrasound Center, and a National Center for the Treatment of Reproductive Disorders, and an Education Program Centre.
The renowned medical facility opened in Omaha, NE in 1985 as a tribute to Pope Paul whose concern for marriage and the family was enormous. Today, hundreds of physicians, nurses, specialists and others travel from around the world to the Institute each year to receive training in the areas of fertility and women’s health.

Practitioner

An Allied Health Professional specifically trained according to the Creighton Model System which includes two total-immersion Education Phases, two Supervised Practica, an On-site Assessment and Final Evaluation spanning a period of thirteen months.
